Two married Nike executives have died throughout a biking journey in California’s well-known Napa Valley.
Native media experiences the couple from Portland had been hit by lumber that slid up and about of a passing truck.
Christian and Michelle Deaton had been biking down the Silverado Path on the outskirts of Napa at about 11am Tuesday, native time, when a flatbed truck tried to go round them at about 64km/h, The Oregonian reported.
Sooner or later, lumber stacked within the mattress of the 2018 Freightliner shifted so a part of the wooden hung over the top of the truck — and it struck the Deatons, the newspaper mentioned.
Mr Deaton, 52, died on the scene and Ms Deaton, 48, died on the hospital, in line with the Napa County Sheriff’s Workplace.
